Fernández Rodríguez, Aurora
Bio
Aurora Fernández Rodríguez is a member of the Research Group on Theory and Criticism of Modern and Contemporary Architectural Design at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
In 2010, together with Antón Capitel, she founded the journal Cuadernos de Proyectos Arquitectónicos and served on its editorial board until 2019. During this period, the journal achieved indexation in the Clarivate Emerging Sources Citation Index and the Avery Index, with support from the Department of Architectural Design.
In 2018, she curated the exhibition Encounters with Oíza at the Madrid School of Architecture and edited the accompanying publication Encounters with Oíza. She was also responsible for the edition of the book Oíza: 100 Years.
Her most recent research has been published in journals such as RA and Arte y Ciudad. Revista de Investigación. She was invited to participate in the International Workshop Urban Living Lab in Puebla, Mexico, and in Madrid–Mexico Encounters at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City in 2020.
She regularly writes and reviews articles for a variety of academic and professional journals. In October 2020, she served as a juror at the Central University of Ecuador in Quito for the selection of the Gold Medal Awards in the categories of Architectural Design and Research Projects.
