Daroca Guerrero, Jaime

Jaime Daroca Guerrero is an architect and founding partner of the architecture firm PRÁCTICA, with offices in Madrid and Seville. He graduated from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Seville (ETSAS, 2010) and holds a Master in Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (2015).

Previously, he worked at architectural practices such as e2a Architekten in Zurich, Switzerland (2010–2013), and Daroca Arquitectos in Seville, Spain (2005–2010). With PRÁCTICA, he has won several international competitions, most notably Rethinking River Somes (Cluj-Napoca, Romania), a built project recognized with the 2024 COAM First Prize and the 2025 COAS Award. Also noteworthy are the first prizes for the Manzana Verde in Malaga and the 125 Public Housing Units (VPO) in Seville, a recently completed project that received the Hispalyt Brick Architecture Award. His work has been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, among other institutions.

In academia, he has been a research scholar and teaching associate at Columbia University in New York, as well as an instructor at Harvard GSD and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Architectural Design Department at ETSAM, where he is also developing his research within the UPM Doctoral Program.
