He founded Burgos & Garrido Arquitectos Asociados [BGA] with Ginés Garrido in 2002. BGA is a practice with experience in public space, urban design and footbridges. Among these, Madrid Rio project has been awarded with the XII Veronica Rudge Green Prize in Urban Design (2016) GSD Harvard.
BGA has also completed diverse housing projects and public facilities and has been awarded with more than forty prizes in national and international architecture competitions. Lately, they have won the competitions for the valorization of the archaeological site of the al-andalusian complex called La Arrixaca in Murcia, a new footbridge over the Miño river in Pontevedra, and the new La Paz Hospital, in Madrid.
