II ETSAM PhDay Award

Dear PhD Students,
The ETSAM Vice-Dean’s Office for Research, Innovation and Doctoral Studies is pleased to announce the 2nd ETSAM PhDay Award, which will take place on 20 and 21 April 2026 in a hybrid format.
PhD students enrolled in any of ETSAM’s doctoral programmes may participate, provided they are in their second year of enrolment or beyond and have not yet submitted their doctoral thesis.
Two participation categories are established:
- Category 1: Second-year students (full-time or part-time).
- Category 2: Third-year and later students who have not yet submitted their doctoral thesis (full-time or part-time).
Registration deadline: 8 April.
To register, students must complete this form [1], attaching:
- A title,
- A 200-word abstract,
- A 3-minute video describing their research work.
The video must use a single static slide and may not include references to the supervisor or the research group.
A total of 12 candidates per category will be pre-selected from all applications received. The juries will be composed of representatives of the Doctoral Programme Committees. Three prizes will be awarded in each category: a first prize of €500 and two prizes of €250.

Important: In order for the activity to take place in each category, there must be at least 8 participants per category.
If you have participated in “Three-Minute Thesis – UPM Investiga”, you may submit the same video and will be guaranteed participation in the public presentation stage (without going through the pre-selection process).
