Dear PhD Candidates,
The training session for the spring semester of the Doctoral Meetings of the Department of Architectural Design will take place on Wednesday, 13 May, in Room 2G8 on the second floor of ETSAM. This is “Workshop IV: EXHIBITING + Communication” of the cycle “Researching – 4 Actions in 4 Acts”* and consists of the following activities:
-16.00h Lecture by Professor Janina Gosseye (Delft University of Technology), “Building Stories: On voices, methods and audiences in the architectural humanities”.
-16.00-19.00h Workshop in four thematic tables:
Table 1. Discourses, types and tools, Janina Gosseye (TU Delft)
Table 2. Habitat and domesticity, Fernando Altozano (UPM)
Table 3. Energy, environment and natures, Javier de Andrés (UPM)
Table 4. Social, political and digital space, Alejandro García (UEC).

*The training activities cycle “Researching – 4 Actions in 4 Acts”, planned for the academic years 2024-25 and 2025-26, focuses on the multifaceted nature of research activity through four complementary research languages: oral, graphic, textual and exhibition-based, which respectively make up the workshops: Speaking, Drawing, Writing and Exhibiting. Each academic year consists of an inaugural lecture and two thematic workshops.
