As part of the internationalisation activities promoted by the Advanced Architectural Design PhD Programme, we would like to inform you about the opportunity to undertake a funded research stay, together with teaching activities, at the Tulane School of Architecture (New Orleans) https://architecture.tulane.edu/, starting in January 2026. The stay is four months long and therefore fulfils the requirements for the International Doctorate Mention, provided that there is a faculty member holding a doctoral degree who supervises the work at the host university. Tulane School of Architecture has expressed a specific interest in funding research stays for doctoral candidates from our Programme, related to their dissertation topic while also undertaking teaching activities under the supervision of a senior faculty member. A description of the position offered is attached.
The stay requires, in addition to availability during the specified period, a demonstrable command of the English language. The Advanced Architectural Design PhD Programme will carry out a pre-selection of candidates, but the final decision rests exclusively with the host university.
If you are interested in participating in the selection process, you must send, BEFORE 10 SEPTEMBER, to this same address, a brief message including the following attachments in English: a letter expressing and justifying your interest in the stay in relation to your dissertation topic and a research plan, as well as a short CV including your research, academic, and professional achievements. In addition, a portfolio must be provided, which may include both professional work and teaching outputs, if applicable.
