INFORMATION ON THE HONOURS DISTINCTIONS PRESENTATION EVENT – UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME
Academic Year 2024–2025. Autumn Semester
Hello everyone,
First of all, congratulations on your nomination for an Honours Distinction (Matrícula de Honor).
We would like to inform you that this semester’s Honours Distinctions Presentation Event will be coordinated by Professor Carlos García and will take place in person.
The Honours Distinctions Event is a public academic occasion intended as a celebration where we can enjoy the most outstanding work produced in the design studios throughout the Undergraduate Programme. We therefore encourage you to see it as a recognition of your hard work and achievements. We would also like to remind you that, although we wish all nominations submitted by the different Teaching Units could be awarded an Honours Distinction, the regulations of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid only allow a maximum of 5% of the students enrolled in each course to receive this distinction. The final Honours Distinctions awarded will be announced at the end of the event, without affecting the grades already assigned by the teaching staff.
To present your project on January 21 or 22, 2025, the following documentation must be submitted:
1. Before January 16 at 11:59 p.m. (Thursday):
Upload to YouTube the presentation video that you will use on January 21 or 22, 2025. (Minimum quality: 720p. The video may not exceed 2.5 minutes for P1–P4 students and 3 minutes for P5–P8 students.)
The presentation must include audio explaining your project. However, on the day of the event, the video will be played without sound and each student must present the project in person. Video playback will be managed by the DPA.
2. Before January 16 at 11:59 p.m. (Thursday):
Upload your project documentation to Archive DPA (www.archive.dpa-etsam.com). Instructions can be found by clicking “Submit” (top right corner). In addition to the project summary and the most representative material, you must include:
– An Issuu link containing a PDF with the most representative work from the course and the final project submission, clearly separated with cover pages labelled “Course” and “Final Project”. This documentation should be uploaded under the “Personal Website” section.
– The YouTube video link under “Project Video URL”.
Confirmation of successful submission will be sent from January 17, 2025 (Friday).
3. January 20 (Monday) – Physical Submission of Documentation
Submit the physical documentation of your project, including all course materials:
P1–P4 _ 3:00 p.m. in rooms 0G1 and 0G2.
P5–P8 _ 6:00 p.m. in rooms 0G3 and 0G4.
Physical submissions will be received according to project level, teaching unit, and alphabetical order, so students should wait until called. At the time of submission, the materials uploaded to YouTube and Archive DPA will be checked. Students will also receive their presentation order number.
Submission during this session is mandatory for all students wishing to participate in the presentations.
PRESENTATIONS
Presentations will take place in the Ground Floor Hall of ETSAM. Students will present in the order assigned during the physical submission session. The presentation support will be the YouTube video played without sound, as each student must deliver the oral presentation live.
Jury panels by project level will be announced in advance through DPA communication channels.
