Alberola Peiró, Mónica
Bio
Mónica Alberola Peiró has been an architect since 1992, graduating from the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM).
Since 1997, she has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Architectural Design at ETSAM. During these years, she has held various positions within the University and has taught at other national and international universities.
Her work as an educator has always been balanced with her professional practice, whose work has been exhibited and published in various media and has received significant awards, most notably:
First Prize For the design and construction of the auditorium and connecting building between pavilions 7 and 8 of the Carlos III Institute Campus in Chamartín. 2019
First Mention Ugo Rivolta European Architecture Award. 2013
First Prize Redevelopment of the Ex Macello area in Arona, Italy. 2012
VPO Award (IX BEAU) Building of 22 social housing units for young people in El Rastro, Madrid. 2011
First Prize 982 housing units in the PAU de los Ahijones, Madrid (IVIMA). 2007
First Prize Residential building at Plaza del General Vara del Rey in Madrid for EMVS. 2005
Mention (XIX Urbanism, Architecture and Public Works Awards of the Madrid City Council) For the 122 public protection housing units in Carabanchel. 2005
