Díaz Mauriño, Luis
Bio
Luis Díaz-Mauriño (Madrid, 1963) graduated as an Architect from the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) in 1991.
Between 1989 and 1995, he collaborated with the architectural offices of Gabriel Ruiz Cabrero, Rafael Moneo, María Fraile and Javier Revillo, and Álvaro Siza. In 1996, he was awarded the Europan Prize, and between 1999 and 2004 he partnered with Mansilla + Tuñón to establish El Quintopiso.
He taught Architectural Design at ESARQ, Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Barcelona), from 2001 to 2005, and in the Master’s Programme in Interior Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED Madrid) from 2013 to 2015. Since 2005, he has been teaching Architectural Design at the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM).
In 2004, he established his own practice, LDM, through which he collaborates with a network of colleagues and friends based in Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Porto.
