Juan Liñán, Lluis
Bio
Architect graduated from the School of Architecture of Valencia (ETSA Valencia) in 2011, holder of a Master’s Degree in Advanced Architectural Design (2014), and PhD in Architecture from the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) in 2022. He is also a member of rellam.
He is currently an Associate Professor at ETSAM and a Guest Lecturer at the Umeå University School of Architecture. He has been a Visiting PhD Researcher at MIT (2020), Associate Professor at the University of Alcalá (2023–2024), lecturer in the Master’s Programme in Advanced Architectural Design (MPAA) at ETSAM (2017–2020), and Wortham Fellow at the Rice University School of Architecture (2015–2017).
Before founding rellam together with Andrea Gimeno and Xevi Lluch, Lluis trained professionally in the offices of Manuel Portaceli and Mansilla + Tuñón.
His work has been exhibited in two editions of the Venice Architecture Biennale, selected for the XV Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BEAU), recognized in several editions of the FAD Awards and Arquia Próxima Awards, and awarded the Bauwelt Prize in 2019.
