PhD Dipl. Arch (UPM 2001, UEM 2014) Mention Cum Laude, Doctor Europeus and exhibited at the XVI Venice Biennial, her research focuses on the requirements of ecology on architectural design. Associate Professor at ETSAM UPM since 2014, she has lectured at diverse institutions such as Syracuse University, IE University, Budapest University of Technology, TU Munich, Nottingham University, TU Delft, Architectural Association, IUAV Venezia, Aalto University and Sapienza Università di Roma. She is member of the IUAV ClusterLab LSD, and of the PhD program Estudios Transversales en Arquitectura y Urbanismo at the UPM.

Hired as an expert by the Research Executive Agency for the evaluation of H2020 proposals, she has taken part in European projects related to sustainability funded by public agencies such as the EACEA, EASME, Intelligent Energy Europe, or COST European Cooperation in Science and Technology. She is also member of Scientific Committees of International Conferences such as IFOU VIII, CONAMA XI or EURAU IV, and editorials such as Zarch, Hypothesis, REIA, JIU, CriticALL or JIDA. With more than 30 indexed publications, those made in journals as Constellations, Architects magazine, Journal of Digital Landscape Architecture, Zarch, Reia, Angulo Recto, Plea, AV projectos and Pasajes stand out. Co-founder of COMBOlab, a research office in architecture and city, her work has been awarded in national and international competitions such as IVIMA or EMV, Parco della Memoria or Europan 8, and has been nominated in the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies Award (2011).
