Del Val Marijuán, Gonzalo

Gonzalo del Val has been an architect since 2010, when he graduated with Honors from the Universidad Europea de Madrid. He holds a Master’s Degree in Advanced Architectural Projects Research from the ETSAM School of Architecture. He combines his professional practice with teaching and academic research. He has taught at various schools of architecture and design, including the School of Architecture at UEM, where he taught from 2012 to 2021, as well as IED and Nebrija University.

His work has received awards and recognition in various competitions and professional calls. Among others, he received the 2024 COAM Award for Interior Design and the Opinión Award at ARQUIA Próxima 2021/2022. His work was also included in the 2018/2019 and 2016/2017 editions of ARQUIA Próxima, and he has been a finalist in the FAD Awards in 2021 and 2026. Several of his projects have also been selected for the FAD Awards in the 2018, 2020 and 2022 editions. He has additionally participated in several editions of the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism.

The studio’s projects have been featured in numerous national and international publications, including OnDiseño, Interiors, Livingetc, AIT, Diseño Interior, Arquitectura y Diseño, Arquitectura COAM, Neo2, T Magazine, CONArquitectura, Area Magazine, Manera, AD and El País Semanal.
